The Kellerberrin Main Street Upgrade was an alliance project with the Shire of Kellerberrin and Main Roads WA and involved the upgrade of a 1.5 km section of Great Eastern Highway within the Kellerberrin township.  The scope included the realignment of the roadway and the Perth to Kalgoorlie water pipeline, within the mainstreet, including creation of truck and car layover bays, off street carparking and shop access, upgrade of the existing station forecourt park, hard and soft landscape and irrigation. Detailed hard and soft landscape  plans were developed for the project, including medians, islands, streetscape paving and furniture. The planting used species suited to the local environment and contrasting paving treatments to create a distinct contemporary streetscape and sense of place for the community and travellers alike. Works involved careful and considered consultation with local government and streetscape reference group.
